I went to El Salvador last week. AWESOME. Can’t say enough good things. I’ll post more about the trip and pictures some other time. This post is not about that.
It’s a beautiful country but, as in many foreign countries, you have to be very careful about ingesting the water, lest you spend the entirety of your time in the hallelujah pose (you know, on the toilet, holding the trash can. I don’t know why it’s called that either.). I was very careful about ingesting the water, and spent the whole time blissfully vomit- and liquid-poop-free.
I arrived back in the States on Thursday night. AND PROMPTLY CAME DOWN WITH THE MOST PAINFUL STOMACH BUG EVER. I have stomach cramping so painful I’m making these weird animal sounds and I can’t stand upright. I told my mom about it and she said it sounds like what labor pains feel like and if this is what labor feels like I am going to have all the abortions. It’s accompanied by all the…ahem…intestinal difficulties you can imagine, and probably some you can’t.
I think my body wants me back on vacation.
